DJ Chalant is a Music Enthusiast, DJ, and Producer.

Born and raised in Washington D.C.

Chalant is described as being “cool”, “fun”, and knows how to bring the party. His DJ sets reflects that same notion, as he tends to favor more upbeat, party bangers- ranging in genres from Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop, Dancehall, Moombahton, Reggaeton & Funk/Soul. He is inspired by DJs the likes of “Jazzy Jeff, DJ AM, DJ Camilo, DJ Premier, DJ Alizay and MICK”.

Currently, Chalant spins private and corporate events and curates weekly club residences in the Washington, D.C. area. His goals are to continue growing as a radio DJ by hosting his own mix show. He also plans to become a touring DJ and music supervisor for the TV/film industry.

Chalant is a multi-hyphenate creative who has planted seeds in different realms within the media and entertainment industry.

Chalant began Djing after becoming influenced by the history the “DeeJay” played in the creation of Hip-Hop culture, and after witnessing a live DJ set by the legendary “DJ Premier” while attending a beatmaking convention in NYC. “I just got really inspired to try it (DJing)”. “ I was already a rapper, and a producer, so at first learning to DJ was something I wanted to do strictly for fun”. Chalant began spinning house and block parties in the neighborhood. This soon led to him and a group of friends organizing and hosting parties at small bars and lounges in DC.
